『パラレルワールドへの行き方』は「いま見えている景色と平行して存在する見えない世界からの引力」をコンセプトにつくったイメージ集である。作品は10枚組。2枚以上のレイヤーで画面を構成している。レイヤー1：旅先へ移動中に恋人が描いたドローイング、光の屈折の図、地震動による波形など、パラレルワールドの引力を受けた時の身体感覚を表すもの。レイヤー2：イメージのベースになる、旅先で撮影した写真。お盆、祈りの場、音楽を聴いている時、夜明け前。重ねた現実の隙間に、パラレルワールドへの窓を見出す。

Paths to Parallel Worlds (パラレルワールドへの行き方) presents a collection of images that explore the gravitational pull of the invisible worlds that exist in parallel to the landscapes in our purview. The work includes ten prints, each of which are composed of two or more layered images. The top layers are reflective of the physical sensations that occur when pulled by a parallel world: seismogram waveforms, refracted light, a travelling lover’s drawings. Beneath these images are photographs taken on trips — in the moments before dawn, while listening to music, at places of prayer, of Obon (the festival of the dead). Images of the real world are overlapped, and in their interstices are revealed windows to parallel worlds.

《パラレルワールドへの行き方》（往平行世界之徑）是一本以「與眼前景物並行共存、另一個不可見的世界所傳來的引力」為概念製作而成的映像集。書中包含十組作品，每一組作品都由兩個以上的圖層構成畫面。第一層圖層像是旅途中戀人所畫下的圖畫、光影折射的圖像、由地震活動產生的波形等等，由這些圖像來表現身體接收到平行世界的引力時所產生的感覺。第二層圖層則是在旅途中所攝下的照片，由這些照片作為每一組映像的基礎，像是孟蘭盆節、祈禱的場所、聽音樂的片刻、拂曉之際。試圖在重複堆疊的現實之間，覺察通向平行世界的窗口。

Paths to Parallel Worlds

1993年生まれ。2016年に武蔵野美術大学油絵学科版画専攻を卒業。現在は東京で生活している。肩書きは無い。視覚で捉えることのできない現実世界に憧れを抱きながら写真を撮っている。2017年、日常の記録をテーマに写真と日記をまとめたzine『むいむいまい』発行。2018年、沖縄で開催されたBarrak Art Book Fairに参加、写真作品をまとめたzine『パラレルワールドへの行き方』発行。

Born in 1993, Nemoto Misaki (根本美咲) is a Tokyo-based artist without a strictly defined occupation. In 2016, she received her BFA from Musashino Art University where she completed the Printmaking Course in the Department of Painting. Her most recent work, in the medium of photography and print, explores her yearning for the worlds which lie beyond the reach of vision. In 2017, Nemoto released Muimuimai (むいむいまい), a zine of quotidian documents, collected journals and photographs. The following year, she participated in the Barrak Art Book Fair, in Okinawa, where she released a publication of photography work, Paths to Parallel Worlds (パラレルワールドへの行き方).

根本美咲（Nemoto Misaki），生於1983年，2016年畢業於武藏野美術大學油畫科版畫組，目前在東京生活，是一名沒有特定職業的藝術家。她懷抱著對無法單用視覺掌握的現實世界的嚮往拍下照片。根本美咲在2017年發行《むいむいまい》（Muimuimai），一本輯集了照片與日記、以日常生活紀錄為主題的zine，於2018年參加沖繩的Barrak Art Book Fair，將手邊的攝影作品彙整成冊，發行《パラレルワールドへの行き方》（往平行世界之徑）。
